Back Home Again
The Croton Train Station osprey got a bath. The red-tailed hawk also got a bath and apparently a small meal. And the Annsville eagle tried to get a meal.

August Birds
Made it to Croton train station and park at low tide. I also filled in at the Croton Nature Center for a few days. It was very relaxing to finally be able to concentrate on my bird photography after a break.

Birds in Summer
The osprey are fledging. The ducklings are swimming. The black-crowned night heron parent is preening. The gulls are watching.

May Days
Great blue heron rookery is captivating all of us here. I never knew the birds raised their young in a colony. Twenty active nests are supporting probably close to 80 young. It wouldn’t be spring without goslings and a swan. And our local osprey has again chosen the communication tower at the train station. I…
