The photo exhibit is almost here, so I made the trip to Marshlands Conservancy. The 600mm lens had to stay in the car because it is too heavy and bulky to carry around. But I really needed it. I may give it a try during my next visit.
Great horned owl just watching all the visitors to Marshlands
Great white egret
We saw no less than three monarch butterflies, yippee!!
Made it to Croton train station and park at low tide. I also filled in at the Croton Nature Center for a few days. It was very relaxing to finally be able to concentrate on my bird photography after a break.
Egret with alewife (I think)
The black back gull challenged the heron for its fish.
The heron won.
Our loon is hanging around at the mouth of the Croton River.
