Yes, I am still out photographing birds!
Egret landing Thornwood
Shake it off
What’s for lunch?
Cormorant preening Ossining
Mom! I was first!
Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge, the Alviso part, is heaven for birds. Thankfully, the fog burned off just as I got there. Unfortunately, they forgot to unlock the gate on the last day of my visit and I didn’t have time to walk to the Alviso Slough. Had to make do with the Alviso Marina County Park.
American white pelican in flight. The pelicans were everywhere.
Alviso is famous for its black necked stilts.
Black necked stilt up close and personal
Alviso is also famous for the clapper rail.
Black crowned night heron I do believe
And perched opposite the night heron was this mystery raptor. The sun was coming up behind the birds.
I couldn’t resist another sparrow picture, especially against the lines in the boardwalk, railing and grass
Not a bird, but quite friendly and itchy
