Rochester Peregrine Falcon Landmarks
The Rochester photographers have been great about taking pictures of the various sites where the birds land. Here are my pictures of Orion in some areas. But first I want to show you one more of my personal favorites of Orion on the Telesco building.

Jersey City Peregrine Falcons Fly High
Grundy Park in Jersey City doesn’t just hold an attraction for people who want a spectacular view of Lower Manhattan. Peregrine falcons also find it the best place to live in the metro NYC area . The two surviving male fledglings, Buzz and Frank, who started out at 101 Hudson on May 3, 2012, are […]

Riverside Church Peregrine Falcons
Yup, they are there and they have kid(s). Saw at least one eyas peeking over the ledge. Thought I saw a flappy peregrine going after an adult. Don’t know if one fledged or not. Adults made many photogenic fly overs. And they escorted an osprey out of the area. No pics of that one, darn.

Croton Point Project Feeder Watch Plus
The weather was glorious and the birds enjoyed themselves. Every bird except the peregrine falcon was at the bird feeders at the nature center. The peregrine was guarding the park at the entrance. She appears to have a green and black band. Could be from New York or New Jersey. Couldn’t read the numbers, darn.

Animal Behavior and Conservation Connections LLC Show
Yesterday was the big day to see the third peregrine falcon that hatched on May 6 this year at 101 Hudson in Jersey City. I had the extreme honor of being present during the chick check when the nestlings were eight days old. One had deformed legs and there was no way it could compete […]
