Hudson River EagleFest 2013 is Over
…but the eagles are still here. Congratulations to Teatown Lake Reservation and First Niagara Bank for putting on a great show. I even managed to get a few eagle pictures at the Croton Train Station Boat Ramp late in the day – low tide – great light – hungry eagles. Who said eagles don’t swim?

Plus, we have a few other visitors in the area. The goldeneyes seem to be here in abundance. We also have a loon. A crow decided to harass a young merlin. The merlin won.

They have arrived! There are many, many eagle sightings along the Hudson River between Croton and Peekskill. The eagles are now ice fishing.
