Large numbers of eagles remain on the Lower Hudson River. My view this week was from a distance, except for first grade eagle watching on Tuesday. Also, please take part in the Great Backyard Bird Count. You can go to a nearby park that has a feeder and just count for 15 minutes.
I usually take a reprieve from bird watching in late March and April before peregrine season gets into full swing. But I couldn’t resist getting a picture of a towhee, palm warbler, gorgeous goldfinch and displaying cowbird.
