The Riverside Church peregrines are out. The baby birds are learning to fly and eat. Croton Point Park has new maintenance workers.

I went to Audubon’s Aviary: Parts Unknown at the NY Historical Society. And we put up a Looks Like Audubon exhibit at the Croton Point Nature Center. I thought I would post some of my lookalikes here.

Fall Madness
I have enjoyed the Hudson River between Stateline Lookout in New Jersey and West Point in New York.

Peregrine Season is Here
The web cam peregrine eggs have begun to hatch and the birds here in the Northeast are well into their mating rituals. I am blessed to live along the Hudson River, especially at Easter, where I can see the birds in the wild and on man-made structures.

March Madness
The female red winged blackbirds and female cowbirds are back. The guys are happy about that. There is just the faintest tinge of green on the trees and the snow may finally be gone. Our young eagles remain in the area and that eagle look-a-like is always around, no matter the season.
