California, that is. Had to visit mom. Since I was on East Coast time, I could get up really early and take a few minutes to bird watch. I remember Alviso, California as being the very big dump at the end of San Francisco Bay. But since I was a little girl, the place has really changed. It is a premier birding spot and is now called the Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge.
