The Bluebird of Happiness

I have the best friends.  Best friends share their backyard birds.  I believe it is very unusual for bluebirds to nest in a backyard.  However, when the yard backs up to the woods with an unlimited bug buffet, who says a yard is off limits for nesting.

  1. Thanks for the bluebird pic’s! They are my favorite backyard bird. I have three bluebird boxes and they finally started nesting about four year ago. I usually get two broods from each pair. Being a bluebird box landlord is a very busy task, but a wonderful job that I enjoy doing.

  2. Great pics, Bonnie! We have a backyard Bluebird box, that also is very near a large wooded area that surrounds a creek. 4 Bluebirds hatched and fledged this year and it’s been an active nest for the past 4 years.
