Fall Fun
A passing migrant checks me out at the Croton Point Nature Center. This resident kestrel was hunting with friends. Our resident peregrine at Stateline Lookout in NJ is keeping the riff raff away. Marshlands hairy woodpecker is catching some rays. This white-throated sparrow is the first sign that autumn has returned.

Saw Mill River Audubon Bird Walks

Tamron Tryouts
Got the new Tamron 150-600 Nikon mount. Thank you Bergen County Camera. I think I like the lens. I can handhold and take photos at 600mm. Works great with the Nikon D4.

The Croton Train Station osprey got a bath. The red-tailed hawk also got a bath and apparently a small meal. And the Annsville eagle tried to get a meal.

San Jose Peregrine Falcons May 2014
The falcons hatched about two weeks later than usual this year. They were still on San Jose City Hall.
