What’s better than turkey vultures perched in a dead tree – a dozen goldfinches, clueless mockingbird, monarch butterfly feeding, baby sparrow waiting to be fed? It is definitely not skipper butterfly spider food.
Those wonderful juvenile great blue herons are migrating west to the Hudson River. I felt bad for this skinny youngster at Oglevie’s Pond that couldn’t seem to catch a fish.
