Spring birds are everywhere doing their Spring Thing. Plus, a few of the residents are back in action.
This orchard (corrected, thank you) oriole finally popped out from behind the leaves. Been waiting to get a picture of one.

The cowbirds didn’t disturb this chipmunk at all. They are tracking a female cowbird.
I went to Audubon’s Aviary: Parts Unknown at the NY Historical Society. And we put up a Looks Like Audubon exhibit at the Croton Point Nature Center. I thought I would post some of my lookalikes here.

Couldn’t believe that this one was so similar to the Audubon print
Audubon hated black backed gulls so he painted one with a broken wing. Unfortunately this one had a damaged wing at the Croton Boat Ramp last month. I don’t know what happened to it. I took the photograph before I learned the Audubon story.
